The Department of Photography and Related Media aims to foster ‘media-extended photography experts’ in response to Industry 4.0. Since being selected as the Ministry of Education’s “Department of Excellence in Specialization” in 2014, it has been strengthened by deepening major learning tracks focusing on “Culture and Arts Creation” and “Planning and Producing Photography for Diverse Genres.”
The Department of Photography and Related Media is expanding various educational spaces and cutting-edge photo media equipment for creative projects and seminars as well as medium and large shooting studios and digital labs and editing rooms exclusively for the department to maximize practical capabilities for media-extended experts.
The step-by-step curriculum of the Department of Photography and Related Media allows students to naturally complete common subjects for specialized education, including those that strengthen the capacity of content creators. Through this process, students are provided with a degree in their major as well as a linked major degree. This is the unique education system of the Department of Photography and Related Media at Keimyung University, which trains experts in each field of photography and produces content creators in Industry 4.0.
